Free Yoga Open Day in Reading
By Pranyog Reading, May 18 2017 04:50PM
In conjunction with International Yoga Day, Pran Yoga Reading will be hosting a free open day on Saturday the 24th of June.
This will be the second annual event in line with the global focus on yoga. This year we want as many new yogis to attend as possible. Yoga is our passion and each of the volunteers has been positively impacted by yoga. We would love to share our experiences and at the same time offer a unique view into what makes yoga so special. The yoga open day will be a fantastic way to learn about the history and philosophy of yoga.
Pran yoga Reading is also an active member of the Reading community and would welcome all people to meet with us and see what we do as well as integrate with all those people that come to our classes.
What if I’m not new to yoga?
You can still come along! This will be a great opportunity to meet the teachers and further your practice and knowledge. On the day itself there will be a series of workshop style classes diving into subjects like:
The history of yoga
- Yoga philosophies
- Postural yoga
- Breathing techniques
- Chanting and mantra
- The chakras
And lots more…
Yoga is a great way to maintain and enhance your physical health, experience mental calm as well as make new friends and integrate with the wider community. If you are curious to find out what yoga can do for you this is the ideal opportunity.
If there is an area of yoga that you are interested to learn more about please bring it to our attention and we will see if it is possible to integrate it into the schedule for the day.
There is such thing as a free brunch
As it is quite a long day and an early start, light refreshments will be provided. Along with the rest of the day this will be free. Expect it to be vegetarian, healthy and made with love!
